(Central News Agency reporter Zhang Weilian, Kaohsiung, 24th) A fatal car accident occurred at the Intercontinental Terminal of Kaohsiung Port today. When a container truck driven by a man surnamed Chen was turning around, he collided with a container truck driving a straight line driven by a man surnamed Liu. Chen Nan fell out of the car and was taken to the hospital where he died. The police stated that Mr. Liu was not drunk driving and the whole case was investigated as a crime of negligent death.

The Kaohsiung Port Police Corps released a message stating that at about 8 a.m., a 66-year-old man Chen drove a container tractor and drove along the outer lane of the road out of the control point to the T-intersection to turn left. The tractor-trailer collided, causing Chen Nan to be thrown out of the vehicle.
The Sixth Container Center Squadron in the jurisdiction was notified and dispatched personnel to the logistics and storage area of the Kaohsiung Port Intercontinental Terminal to assist in processing. They found Chen Nan lying on the scene with no breathing and heartbeat. Firefighters performed first aid and were sent to the hospital in an ambulance. Chen Nan was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. First aid failed at 28 minutes. Mr. Liu showed no reaction to alcohol after a breathalyzer test, and the case was investigated as a crime of negligent death.
