Wo Xu did not disclose the amount of investment in this project.
Per Mejnert Kristensen, President of WoX Energy Asia Pacific, told a press conference in Taipei: “Every aspect is progressing very smoothly. Manufacturing activities are in full swing, and some are even completed ahead of schedule.”
“A lot of the hardware will start arriving here soon, which means we will have it installed next year and keep our promise to complete the project by the end of next year,” he said. “We are very pleased with the progress of the project.”
TSMC did not immediately respond to a Reuters reporter’s request for confirmation. According to the agreement reached between WoXu and TSMC in 2020, TSMC will purchase power from WoXu New Wind Farm for 20 years.
