According to media reports, after the video was exposed, Gao Yinquan, director of the Degao Police Station of the Tainan City Police Branch No. 1, said that the case had been reported by the public and has been filed in accordance with the law.
The report also mentioned that the Tainan City No. 1 Branch has reported 122 violations for failing to yield to pedestrians so far this year. The Tainan City No. 1 Branch also appealed to the public that motorists and motorcycle drivers should slow down and drive slowly when passing pedestrian crossings. Stop for pedestrians and give priority to pedestrians. Violators will be fined not less than NT$1,200 but not more than NT$6,000 in accordance with Article 44, Item 2 of the Road Traffic Management Penalty Regulations.
