The two parties are about to join forces to create an international joint venture and co-production film. Recently, Yusuke Suzuki and Japanese director Kenichi Ugana visited Taiwan. Liu Fengqi recommended his hometown of Hsinchu as the filming location for this new Taiwanese-Japanese film. The Japanese side also personally invited Mai Yutong (彤彤) who starred in “Minxiong” to play the heroine. , making her a rare Taiwanese beautiful girl to participate in Japanese horror films.

“The Unification of Japan” produced by Yusuke Suzuki is a famous longevity drama in Japan and has been extended to many movies. He had previously come to Taiwan to film “Renji Himuro: The Unification of Taiwan by Japan”. In addition, Suzuki Yusuke has already planned to cooperate with Taiwan on horror themes. Because he noticed that “Minxiong Haunted House” has both local elements and international character that is not hindered by language and culture, he contacted the film’s Taiwanese producer Liu Fengqi to start an alliance and cooperation between the two parties.

Under the introduction of Liu Fengqi, Yusuke Suzuki and Japanese director Kenichi Ugana locked in multiple filming locations in Hsinchu and Zhunan. In response to the director’s needs, Hsinchu co-producer Lin Mingzhi led the team to scout the Hsinchu Shibajian Mountains, Litchi Park, and the 17-kilometer coastline. They also visited Taiwan’s tombs, air raid shelters, tunnels, coastal woods and other topography. The items made the Japanese feel novel and satisfied.

Producer Liu Fengqi said that Japan has always been good at the supernatural horror genre, and Taiwan has also seen an explosion of more and more diverse similar works in recent years. However, there are very few joint ventures and co-productions of horror movies between Taiwan and Japan, and he hopes to use this new film to start cooperation.70% of the new film will be shot in Japan, and 30% will be completed in Hsinchu and Zhunan, Taiwan.
