[Reporter Liu Qinghou/Reporting from Taipei]National Geographic Channel Taiwan Branch and Creative Practitioners Company will hold the “2024 NAT GEO RUN” from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, the 28th, at the Taipei City Civic Plaza and Dajia Riverside Park. For the National Geographic Road Run event, in order to maintain traffic order and event safety, the Beicheng Police Department will implement traffic control and prohibit the passage of vehicles.

The Beicheng Police Department stated that the controlled road sections and times are as follows:

1. Shifu Road (Songgao Road to Songshou Road): All lanes will be controlled from 0:00 to 7:00.

2. Xinyi Road No. 1: All lanes will be controlled from 5:30 to 7:00.

3. Renai Road (Yixian Road to Jinshan South Road): The central express lane and bus lane will be controlled from 5:30 to 7:30.

4. Jianguo Elevated Road: The Renai Road exit ramp will be controlled from 5:30 to 7:30.

5. Jinshan South Road (Renai Road to Jinan Road): All lanes will be controlled from 5:30 to 7:30.

6. Xinsheng Elevated Road: All entrance and exit ramps will be controlled from 4:30 to 8:00.

7. Binjiang Street (from Xinsheng North Road to No. 10 Watergate): Lane 2 will be controlled from 5:40 to 8:00.

8. Zhongshan Bridge: From 7:30 to 9:00, the locomotives will operate in the slow lane, and the locomotives will be diverted to the fast lane.

9. Bei’an Road (Bei’an ramp to Mingshui Road): All lanes from west to east will be controlled from 5:40 to 9:00.

10. Mingshui Road (Bei’an Road to Lequn 1st Road): All lanes from west to east are controlled from 5:40 to 9:00.

11. Lequn 1st Road (Mingshui Road to No. 16 Watergate): All lanes from west to east will be controlled from 5:40 to 9:00.

12. Dazhiqiao Mingshui Road ramp: The exit of this ramp will be controlled from 5:70 to 9:00.

13. Evacuation gates No. 8 and 9: Vehicle entry is restricted from 6:00 to 12:00.

14. Evacuation gates No. 10 and 16: Control vehicle entry from 6:00 to 8:00.

During the event control period, passers-by are advised to avoid traffic control sections and change routes in advance. The planned diversion route is as follows:

1. Vehicles wishing to cross Renai Road heading north (south): Divert to Linsen South Road, Jianguo Viaduct or Keelung Road underpass.

2. Traffic flow on Xinsheng Elevated Road: Divert to Xinsheng North Road surface lane and Zhongshan North Road.

3. Vehicles heading east on Bei’an Road (from Yuanshan Tunnel to Mingshui Road): Divert to the inner lane 1 of Bei’an Road from east to west.

4. Traffic flow from west to east on Mingshui Road and Lequn 1st Road: Please divert to Bei’an Road and Lequn 2nd Road.

The Taipei City Police stated that traffic control will be implemented along the track during the event, and vehicle traffic will be prohibited. Bus waiting areas within the control area will suspend services.
