In this regard, Taipower said that after investigation, it was found that the cause of the power outage was the disconnection of overhead lines and damage to power fuses due to lightning strikes, and the power outage caused by wind and rain causing foreign objects such as trees and bamboo to touch the power lines. After dispatching personnel to repair it, 2,626 households have been repaired. Power has been restored and 640 households were out of power, and repairs are currently ongoing.
