Heavy rain hit the Kaohsiung area from the evening of the 24th to the morning of the 25th, causing power outages in Luzhu, Hunei and other areas. A total of 3,266 households were without power. Currently, power has been restored to 2,626 households, leaving 640 households without power.

Taipower’s Kaohsiung District Office explained: From yesterday evening to this morning, the Central Meteorological Administration issued special heavy rain warnings for Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung, which successively caused power outages in Luzhu, Hunei and other areas, with a total of 3,266 households experiencing power outages. The main causes of the accidents included lightning strikes. Taipower personnel immediately dispatched crews to make repairs overnight due to broken overhead lines and contact with trees and bamboos, and all power was restored by 11:50 noon on the 25th. If there are sporadic cases reported by the public in the future, we will continue to check and repair.

Taipower’s Kaohsiung District Office stated that the zoning description of this power outage is as follows: Luzhu District, Luzhu District, Kaohsiung City, Datong Road, Zhongshan Road, Zhonghe Street, Zhonghua Road, Fifth Highway, Wenhua Road, Siwei Road, Luzhu District, Kaohsiung City at 6:19 a.m. on the 25th , Yongfu Road, Zhunan Street, Yanping Road, Jianguo Road, Guochang Road, Huaxi Street, Huachang Street, Shun’an Road and other areas were affected by power outage, with a total of 2,402 households affected. The Kaohsiung District Office immediately sent personnel to carry out emergency repairs despite the rain, and the power supply was restored at 7:14 a.m. It was found that the cause was caused by the disconnection of overhead lines due to lightning strikes.

A total of 438 households in the area of ​​Lane 367, Fuxing Road, Yaliaoli, Luzhu District were without power due to contact with tree branches. A power outage occurred in the area of ​​Lane 373 of Gangyan Road and Nos. 322 to 360 of Gangyan Road in Gangshan District. About 179 households were without power. After dispatching personnel to investigate and repair, it was found that the power fuse was damaged. There was a power outage at 7:30 a.m. on the 25th in Heping Road, Dongfang Road in Hunei District, Dongfang Road and Huanhuan Road in Luzhu District, affecting a total of 247 households.
