Hua Fan University issued a press release today stating that the school has designated the 10th week of each semester as “Life Design Week” since the 2012 academic year. It was first piloted in November last year. The entire school will be closed from April 22 to 26, with only the holiday master’s degree classes running normally.

Lin Congyi, the president of Huafan University, expressed that he hopes that students can use the semester gap to cultivate themselves, so students are allowed to attend classes for 9 weeks and then suspend classes for 1 week to encourage students to try to design life experience activities to discover the purpose and meaning of learning; suspension of classes is not a holiday. , the implementation plan of Life Design Week will incorporate a mentor mechanism, with interviews beforehand and active feedback and guidance afterwards.

After a trial run last semester, Hua Fan University has planned three implementation plans for Life Design Week this semester, including encouraging students to design their own life experience activities, or choosing workshops launched by school teachers, such as tree climbing challenges, and new additions. The more challenging “Advanced Edition” plan allows students to create their own study plan for “Life Design and Practice Topics”. After application, they will receive 2 credits of general education after guidance, execution, and assessment.

I spend a lot of time in the library enjoying reading, and I even want to take the challenge of learning guitar by myself.

During the Life Design Week last semester, at the suggestion of her teacher, she went to the deceased’s home to help chant sutras and finally overcame her fear of death; this week She also devoted herself to painting the large-scale mural of the Medicine Buddha, from the design sketch, composition, drafting, outlining to coloring, “I hope that life will be more illuminated by the light of the Buddha and that all living beings will be safe and healthy.”
