Taitung County Councilor Wang Wenyi helped her son draw a branch of the military yesterday (24th), but she got the last spot in the Marine Corps. Wang Wenyi laughed and said that her son had just summoned her to tell her, “Don’t deliberately smoke any Marines.” In order to serve the voters well, she had to sacrifice her son, but her son might not be willing to meet her until he was honorably discharged.

The Taitung City Office held a lottery for male military service yesterday (24th). There were 2 rounds. The first round was for the standing military servicemen from 1983 to 1993. The army had 72 lottery tickets, the navy had 2 lottery tickets, and the navy and army personnel had 72 lottery tickets. There are 4 draws for the team and 3 draws for the Air Force, for a total of 81 draws.

The second round was for the 1994-year-old standing reserve men. There were 7 lottery tickets for the Army and 1 lottery ticket for the Marine Corps, for a total of 8 lottery tickets. The Taitung City Office expressed its best wishes to all servicemen to study differently during this period and to successfully complete their service.

Taitung County Councilor Wang Wenyi also came to the scene to help her son draw the lottery, but ended up drawing a Marine.
