It is understood that the driver surnamed Xu was hired by the turnkey contractor for the new critical care building project of Neihu No. 3 General Administration. At about 8 o’clock this morning, Xu drove a sand and gravel truck to transport earthwork and was preparing to go to Taipei Port. He wanted to drive out of the hospital and passed by the emergency room. , when he was turning right in a blind spot, he accidentally knocked down a woman surnamed Chen who was crossing the road. She fell to the ground and was run over. She lost breathing and heartbeat on the spot. Although she was rushed to the emergency room for rescue, she still died of her injuries.

Preliminary investigation by the police showed that the driver named Xu was not drunk. It was initially determined that the accident was caused by a blind spot in his sight. He was brought in for questioning earlier. The detailed process of the accident is still to be clarified. After the interrogation, he will also be charged with negligent death. In this regard, the Tri-Service General Hospital stated today (25th) that Yongqing Construction, the turnkey project contractor for the hospital’s medical critical care building, was accidentally crushing Ms. Chen, a civilian, with the front wheel of its vehicle when clearing the waste soil at 8:30. The injured person’s condition when he arrived at the hospital It is not optimistic. He died after first aid. The cause of death will be clarified by the prosecutor.
