(Central News Agency reporter Hao Xueqing, Taichung, 25th) The list of the new cabinet team was announced. National Chung Hsing University said today that seven new cabinet members, including Executive Dean Zhuo Rongtai, are all alumni of Chung Hsing University, and the retained National Security Director Cai Mingyan is a member of Chung Hsing University International Political Studies taught.

President-elect Lai Ching-te will take office on May 20, and the names of the new cabinet teams have been announced one after another. Xingda issued a press release stating that they include Zhuo Rongtai, Executive Yuan Secretary-General Gong Mingxin, Transportation Minister Lee Meng-yan, Justice Minister Zheng Mingqian, Agriculture Minister Chen Junji, Hai Guan Biling, chairman of the committee, and Su Junrong, chief of personnel of the General Office of Personnel and Administration, are both alumni of Xingda; and Cai Mingyan, the director of national security who was announced today to remain in office, is also a professor at the Institute of International Politics at Xingda.

Zhuo Rongtai graduated from the Law Department of Xingda University in 1973; Gong Mingxin graduated from the doctoral program of the Institute of Economics of Xingda University in 1986; Li Mengyan graduated from the Department of Environmental Engineering of Xingda University in 1977; Zheng Mingqian graduated from the Law Department of Xingda University in 1969.

Chen Junji graduated from the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral classes in agronomy at Xingda in 1969, 1971 and 1979; Guan Biling graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Xingda in 1968; Su Junrong graduated from the Department of Statistics at Xingda in 1972.

As for Cai Mingyan, a professor at Xingda Institute of State Affairs, he has successively served as deputy secretary-general of the National Security Council, representative to the European Union and Belgium, and parliamentary undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2016. He has taken over as director of national security since January 31, 2012.
