(Central News Agency reporter Yu Xiaohan, Taipei, 25th) High school student Lin Ziyou’s self-made earthquake app has been well received, but it was discovered that the data used was unauthorized information from the Meteorological Administration. The Meteorological Administration stated today that it has contacted Lin Ziyou’s father. Lin Ziyou himself is also willing to continue development, and the guardian can sign the contract on behalf of him.
Lin Ziyou’s self-made earthquake app “Taiwan Earthquake Quick Report” has been well received by the public. However, because this app uses Diniu Wake Up to indirectly obtain data from the Central Meteorological Administration of the Ministry of Transportation, Diniu Wake Up reminds Lin Ziyou that issuing earthquake warnings is the responsibility of the Meteorological Administration. It must be released to the public by the Meteorological Department or through a contracted partner, so it is recommended that Lin Ziyou signs with the Meteorological Department as soon as possible.
In this regard, Wu Jianfu, director of the Earthquake Forecasting Center of the Meteorological Administration, told a reporter from Central News Agency in the evening that he had contacted Lin Ziyou’s father and learned that Lin Ziyou originally made this app to apply for foreign schools. Now he is also willing to develop abroad and is willing to continue to maintain it. This program is also willing to cooperate with the Meteorological Department.
Wu Jianfu said that since an adult is required to sign the contract, a guardian needs to sign on behalf of him. (Editor: Guan Zhongwei) 1130425
