Once the blue line is opened, it will attract teachers and students of Tunghai University to take the MRT. This station is designed with a people-oriented campus spirit in mind. The station body is processed at an oblique angle to reduce the overall volume and is reintegrated with the entrance image of the Donghai Campus. It will become one of the major stations on the Blue Line.
The comprehensive plan of the Zhongjie Blue Line was approved by the Executive Yuan at the beginning of this year. The Transportation Bureau started the basic design stage of the stations and gradually unpacked them. Today, we are unpacking the B10 stations that have received considerable attention, namely Rongzong and Tunghai University stations. After the station is opened to traffic, not only students from Tunghai University, but also many people who want to go to Rongzong for medical treatment or visit the doctor will get on and off at the station, and the carrying capacity will be quite high.

The theme of this station is like the station name “Fountain of Knowledge – Oasis of Knowledge”. The Transportation Bureau stated that the station design concept adopts a people-oriented campus spirit and re-adjusts the boundaries of the campus. The station is processed at an oblique angle to reduce the overall sense of volume, while at the same time integrating with the Donghai Campus. The image of the entrance is reintegrated. The continuous streamlined stairs and grass slopes merge into the campus boundary landscape, returning the focus of sight to the natural trees, as if you are on the campus of Tunghai University. The landscape configuration is mainly streamlined, integrating the natural landscape into the landscape. It is integrated into the existing trees of Tunghai University.
The Transportation Bureau stated that in terms of landscape design concept, the square pavement is mainly streamlined, interspersed with green belts and integrated into the station and the surroundings of the Tunghai University campus. In conjunction with streamline elements, the landscape seats are designed with flower gardens and trees along the street.
As for the interior design concept of the station, the Transportation Bureau stated that because the area around the station is rich in academic and high-tech atmosphere, the interior is mainly made of clean white, blue and silver metal materials and linear elements with a sense of speed, and the light blue color is based on the image of water flow. Colorful curved surfaces embellish the interior space.
