Child abuse cases are frequent in New Taipei City. New Taipei City Councilor Dai Weishan pointed out in the New Taipei City Council’s joint business report inquiry that until his death, he was a recipient of the New Taipei City social safety net, but New Taipei City transferred the case to After the nanny surnamed Liu took care of her, she did not visit her again, nor did she refer her to the Taipei City Social Welfare Center for continued services, forming a “black hole” in the social safety net. However, New Taipei City’s review report did not mention this matter at all, requiring Social Affairs Bureau Director Li Meizhen to review this and increase the budget.
