If only cash dividends are counted, based on today’s closing price of 66.4 yuan, the dividend yield is 3.76%. This time Fubon Gold will distribute a total of 32.537 billion yuan in cash to 400,000 shareholders.

Fubon Gold has distributed stock dividends for three consecutive years. This year’s payment level is slightly higher than last year. It distributed 1.5 yuan in cash and 0.5 yuan in stocks, totaling 2 yuan. The year before last, it issued 3.5 yuan in cash and 0.5 yuan in stock coupons, totaling 4 yuan. In 2021 The maximum stock dividend is 1 yuan, and the dividend is 3 yuan. The dividend in 2021 is the same as 2022, and the dividend is 4 yuan.

Fubon Gold earned 4.8 yuan per share last year. Based on a total dividend of 3 yuan today, the allotment rate is 62.5%, the highest level since 2012. According to Fubon Gold’s announcement, this stock dividend is the issuance of new shares by converting capital reserves into capital, adding a total of 6.507 billion yuan in share capital, and 650 million more ordinary shares, which will partially dilute this year’s EPS.

Fubon Financial Holdings stated that its net profit after tax in 2023 will be 66.017 billion yuan, with earnings per share (EPS) of 4.80 yuan, making it the double profit leader in the financial holding industry, and has been the financial holding earnings per share leader for 15 consecutive years. Fubon Financial Holding’s cash dividend payment is based on a comprehensive consideration of overall profits and the surplus turned over by subsidiaries.

In addition to cash dividends, Fubon Financial Holdings also distributed a stock dividend of 0.5 yuan per share this time, providing shareholders with the option of continuing to hold stocks or converting them into cash. Fubon Financial Holdings stated that although the issuance of stock dividends will cause a slight dilution in the short term, it also represents the company’s confidence in future operating performance. Overall, the combination of cash dividends and stock dividends is expected to provide shareholders with better substantial returns. This allotment of stock dividends is a capital reserve allotment. For shareholders, when receiving dividends, they do not need to pay income tax in accordance with Taiwan tax laws.

In terms of special dividends, each Class A special share will be distributed with a dividend of 2.66. The holding period is 111 days from 112.1.1 to 112.4.21, and the special stock dividend annual rate is 4.1%. The holding period is 254 days from 112.4.22 to 112.12.31. The reset dividend annual rate is calculated at 4.58125%. Class B special shares will be issued a dividend of 2.16 yuan per share, with an annual dividend rate of 3.6%; Class C special shares will be issued a dividend of 1.8 yuan per share, with an annual dividend rate of 3.0%.

Fubon Gold recently announced an after-tax net profit of 8.01 billion yuan in March, with an EPS of 0.62 yuan, and a cumulative first-quarter after-tax profit of 30.38 billion yuan, with an after-tax EPS of 2.33 yuan.
