Kaohsiung has been hit by local heavy rains or torrential rains recently due to the impact of fronts. A 66-year-old man surnamed Li was walking alone on the trail in Chengcheng Lake Park, Niaosong District, at around 10 a.m. when he was hit by a fallen road tree and suffered lacerations to his head and feet. He was pronounced dead after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The Taiwan Water Company’s District 7 Management Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs issued a message in response.
