The Taiwanese Peng Party has summoned more than 10 pro-independence groups including the Taiwan Foundation, the Taiwan Federation, the Taiwan Church, the Taiwan Society, and the Taiwan Northern Society to call on the public to pay attention to the substance of the San Francisco Treaty. .

Taiwan-Penghu Party Chairman Zheng Zicai: “In the San Francisco Peace Treaty, Japan gave up its sovereignty over Taiwan and Penghu. This sovereignty did not say that it would belong to any country in the world. The Republic of China used the term “Taiwan will be restored” to deceive the Taiwanese and Penghu people and the whole world. It is false to say that the sovereignty of Taiwan and Penghu has returned to China.”

Zheng Zicai emphasized that the San Francisco Peace Treaty that took effect in 1952 only “relinquished” the sovereignty of Taiwan and Penghu, but did not talk about “ownership.” The so-called “recovery of Taiwan” is simply false.
