[NOWnews今日新聞] A power outage occurred in the Southern District of Tainan City around 7:40 a.m. today (25th), affecting nearly 5,000 households. Even the four auditoriums of the Tainan Municipal Funeral Home were out of power, affecting a total of 20 farewell ceremonies. The Tainan City Funeral Home stated that power was restored at around 8:10, and power was restored to all auditoriums immediately, and air conditioning and other equipment were restored. The Tainan Civil Affairs Bureau also explained to the operators that the power outage was caused by Taipower.

Funeral operators said that at the time of the power outage, farewell ceremonies were being held in all Tainan City funeral halls (Mingde Hall, Jingde Hall, Huaici Hall, and Huaiti Hall). The halls urgently used diesel generators to provide power. Due to limited power, priority was given to The general freezer in the basement is supplied, and the other halls are unavailable.
