The Gao City Government held a signing ceremony today. Economic Director Liao Taixiang, on behalf of the city government, signed the contract with Zhang Guoguang, Associate Manager of Uni-President Supermarket Co., Ltd., with Deputy Mayor Luo Dasheng as a witness.
Luo Dasheng said that the Bay City 38 Market Land BOT case was the first successful BOT investment case during the term of Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai. The base is located in Fushan Lane, the largest city in Taiwan, at the intersection of Rongzong Road and Honor Street. The area was originally outsourced to operate a public parking lot. With the increasing development of the surrounding high-speed rail zone, the Rongzong business district and residential functions have also flourished. In order to enhance local living functions, the city government has cooperated with Uni-President Supermarket.
Luo Dasheng said that in this case, the city government will provide market land, and then hand it over to private enterprises to invest, build and operate for a period of time, and finally transfer the management rights to the city government. He hopes that the development project can provide a complete community life for the area around Rongzong. Services, sightseeing and leisure and regional commercial services.
Uni-President Supermarket Co., Ltd. pointed out that the construction period of this project is 4 years and the operation period is 46 years. Uni-President Supermarket Co., Ltd. will cooperate with the Gao City Government to invest in the construction of “Youhao Life Plaza”, which will be planned from 2 floors underground to 6 floors above ground. Jianwu will introduce Carrefour convenience shopping, Uni-President Enterprise Group brands and other catering retail businesses. In addition, in response to parking demand, a 2-story underground parking lot is planned.

Liao Taixiang pointed out that the project not only invested more than NT$700 million, but was also expected to provide more than 300 local employment opportunities, with priority given to Kaohsiung residents.
