(Central News Agency reporter Lu Xinli, special report from Bangkok on the 26th) The Thai police and the Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice cooperated to intercept a batch of K-tamine that was about to be shipped to Taiwan. The suspect packaged 320 kilograms of K-tamine into Tieguanyin tea and stuffed it into a bag that resembled the movie Transformers. Inside the robot model base, the estimated market price is as high as NT$600 million.

In March, the Thai police uncovered a drug case destined for Australia. After continuous investigation, they found that the same Thai woman had applied to send a Transformers-like robot model to Taiwan for display. The Thai police cooperated with the Bureau of Investigation and held a meeting in Bangkok on the 24th. A freight warehouse intercepted these robot models.

Phanurat Lukboon, secretary-general of Thailand’s Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), held a press conference today to explain the case.

The Thai police seized 320 kilograms of ketamine in the freight warehouse. The suspect packed the 320 kilograms of ketamine into 320 packages of 1 kilogram each. The outer package was filled with Tieguanyin tea to confuse the audience and stuffed into 10 bases of the model robot. , each base is stuffed with 32 packs of K-tamine.

The Thai police have currently arrested the Thai woman. According to the Thai police’s understanding, the Thai woman’s upstream is Laos and the drugs came from Cambodia. The Thai police are still tracing the upstream. As for the Taiwanese accomplices, the Bureau of Investigation is also continuing to investigate.
