The “2024 Architectural Landscape Award” organized by the Kaohsiung City Construction Management Association held an on-site review yesterday. The Tainan City Government organized the “New Site Construction Project of the Honorary National Home” by the Sports Bureau “Yongda Roller Rink” and the Public Works Bureau. Won the “Public Building Landscape Category” award, the Water Conservancy Bureau’s “Bamboo Creek Waterfront Improvement and Environmental Creation” won the “Park Green Space Landscape Category” award and the “Net Zero Green Building Special Award”, and the Metropolitan Development Bureau’s “Tainan Zhujiao Creative Construction Project” “The “Tree Trunk Room” in the Daren community environmental space renovation won five major awards including the “Community Landscape Construction” award.
The Metropolitan Development Bureau explained that the “Yongda Roller Skating Rink” sponsored by the Sports Bureau has created an excellent simulation training base and a standard and safe competition venue for in-line skaters on a track that meets international standards. It also combines the park green space and landscape scenery. The wall-less design creates a friendly sports park that can be used by all ages, providing citizens and community groups, as well as people who love inline skating, with a high-quality space for indoor and outdoor sports and leisure; and the “Honorary National Home” is hosted by the Public Works Bureau. “New site construction project”, the design adopts the advanced national group home (Group Home) care unit model configuration, so that residents can receive good care, and also breaks the stereotype of traditional long-term care institutions, creating a humanized and home-like warmth. The Water Conservancy Bureau’s “Bamboo Creek Waterfront Improvement and Environmental Creation” uses low-density development principles to carry out natural restoration and the construction of hand-made trails, retaining the natural ecology of the waterfront, and creating a waterside trail with a slow-flowing creek landscape in the forest in conjunction with the movement line. It provides the public with access and visits, creating a wild and pure land in Tainan that is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and rich in historical and cultural heritage. It won two awards including the “Park Green Space Landscape Category” and the “Special Award for Net-Zero Green Building”.
This award in the “Community Landscape Construction” category was won by the “Tree Truss Room” in the environmental space renovation of Daren Community under the “Tainan Zhujiao Creative Construction Project” of the Metropolitan Development Bureau. The community uses the truss concept and diverse construction methods to match the warm wood texture. , appropriately improve the comfort of the environment, give the vacant space a new look, create a new memory landmark, and create an activity field suitable for leisure life and landscape greening of all ages in the local community.
The Metropolitan Development Bureau stated that in 2024, Tainan will transform from an ancient capital into a new technological capital where tradition and innovation coexist.
