The Tainan City Government stated that Tainan City has a close relationship with Japan’s Yamaguchi Prefecture. This is the first return visit from the Tainan City Government after the two parties established an alliance. Huang Weizhe was accompanied by Director Chen Mingjun and his wife of the Fukuoka office. When the Hualien earthquake hit in early April, Yamakou County immediately contacted the Tainan City Government to express concern, and the residents of Yamakou County initiated a fundraiser. Liu Jujunxue said that exchanges between Japan and Taiwan in local governments and many fields are progressing smoothly, especially in the current chaotic international situation. He hopes that through the efforts of the parliament, bilateral local and people-to-people exchanges will be enhanced and Taiwan-Japan friendship will be promoted.
Huang Weizhe invited Yamaguchi County to participate in the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Summit, and visited Tainan again to taste delicious fruits and food.
