Wu Derong said that the latest model simulation shows that the stagnant front will move northward from next Monday (29th) to Tuesday (30th) in the morning, with a long gap; it will be cloudy at times, the temperature will rise, and there is a chance of local short-lived showers near mountainous areas in the afternoon.

The front will approach starting next Tuesday afternoon. The lingering front will linger near Taiwan next Wednesday and Thursday (1st and 2nd). It is another wave of unstable weather that is prone to the development of “medium- and small-scale convective systems” and should be continuously monitored. Next Friday and Saturday (3rd and 4th) the stagnant front will move away, the weather will improve, and there is a chance of local brief showers near the mountainous areas in the afternoon.
